The Mindful Path to Self-Compassion: Freeing Yourself from Destructive Thoughts and Emotions by Christopher Germer

4.0

There is no question that the insights provide by [b:Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself|10127008|Self-Compassion The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself|Kristin Neff|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1482866880l/10127008._SY75_.jpg|15024831] have changed my life for the better. it was the first self-help book I've ever completed and this by Neff's colleague Chris Germer was the second. The message from the team is the same.

Where Neff's is at times a highly personal memoir with engaging and humanizing stories, Germer's is a much less personal exploration of the evidence as reflected in his work as a clinical psychologist. chock full of info, a little light on the personal engaging...

and so take your pick. this is a solid book.. and the message important. Either way you win.
