It's so funny, I was gifted this book "for the meme" by my best friend, and it's the first time I've ever picked up any of Anne Rice's works, so I was intrigued.

This ended up being one of the most insane, wtf reading experiences I've had ever, and that is SAYING something. There is a doctor character who straight up thirsts after a young teenage girl right after she's given birth, and then he switches his lustful attentions to her NEWBORN BABY immediately afterwards. No I am not joking. Do I need to say more?
