Alex Stone has a past that he is unaware of. His mother took him and fled from the Russian mafia when he was just 5 years old. Valentina is a bratva princess, looking to find a way out of her own predicament. Alex and Valentina’s paths merge and the only thing that explains it is that it was fate.

This story had quite a few heart pounding moments where I wasn’t sure if everything would work out between the two. But each obstacle was neatly knocked down and dealt with by the end. I felt maybe a little too clean. But otherwise I truly enjoyed Alex and Valentina’s story, and look forward reading the next book in this series.
