Leo's Chance by Mia Sheridan

5.0

The second time reading this one & I still love it just as much as the first time, which is always the same with Leo. It’s expected with Mia’s books because they are some of my favorites.

One of my favorite things is getting to read the male POV of a story I just read from the female POV. Of course I love the female POV because it makes me feel like I’m there & a part of the story. It always makes me feel like I become the female character experiencing everything that she does. But when I get the male POV, I get the story from a different angle. Seeing everything that happened with different thoughts & perceptions. He obviously thinks differently than the female but surprisingly not as different as you would think. It’s still the same great story, but now with more reasons to love the whole story.

I absolutely adore Leo, I always have. His POV always makes me love Evie even more because of how much he truly loves her. Every little, itty bitty thing about her, he loves. The things she might hate, he loves. It’s the whole-hearted and so passionate. The kind of all consuming love that is so rare in the world. That love that you hold on to & fight to never let go.

I love that the story wasn’t 100% the same as Leo, which made it even better. There were other parts that we didn’t see from Evie’s POV so I fell a little more in love with the story. Getting to see everything that happened in those 8 years from Leo’s perspective definitely gave more to understanding the complexity & realness of their relationship from day 1 until the end.
