The Kite and Tallowwood: Christmas Crossover by N.R. Walker

Asher ogled Harry’s bare chest with a heated appreciation. “Maybe breakfast can wait . . .” Then he made a pained face like he couldn’t decide. “No, let’s do gifts and breakfast first. Then you can spend the rest of the day doing delightfully obscene things to my body.” He clapped his hands. “I insist.”
Out of the two couples from Tallowwood and The Kite, August and Jake are my favorite. It was really nice to see all of them again, but I have to admit I was a bit disappointed by this. I was hoping for more time with Jake and August, and just more couple-y bliss, I suppose. Maybe even for the guys to become friends somehow. Maybe I had the wrong expectations, because whatever I expected, this wasn’t it. Asher and Harry were hot and sweet as always. There wasn’t anything wrong with it, really, I just didn’t understand what the point of it was after finishing, but then I found out about a coming sequel to The Kite, and then it made sense. It definitely feels like a setup for that. I wish the novella stood more on its own to give is a follow-up on the couples.

“While I’m not a fan of the dirt you bring in on my nice clean floors, I am a fan of you being all dirty and sweaty.” Harry smirked at him, then very deliberately lifted the hem of his shirt and wiped his face, giving Asher a view of his abs and chest. Tit for tat.
