The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway

I must say, out of all of the slow moral books I've read for English, this may be the winner or last place. Ill give it to you, being a 15 year old who does have a generally conceived broad vocab, it was hard at some points to relate to Hemmingway and his word choice. Although I do personally like the writing style he perceived throughout the book. short and sweet sentences that get the point across. I'm not a fan of slow books that lack the literary devices that I enjoy the most.

However, I, alike many people, failed to the comprehend why this would be considered a classic or what the literal plot was of this book. It wasn't very evident. It wasn't until I showed up to my English class during the first week that I really got explained the plot and how the book was about the lost generation, disillusionment an d morality. Then, and only then, I give Hemmingway credit. Because of course if I were to read a book currently called "School starts too early", many adults may be like eh whatever. While that book id consider my holy grail. So I've come to the conclusion that this book was written for people with similar lifestyles as Hemmingway.

Sadly I must say though. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone under around 30, because honestly, theres not much to relate to. And once you take that out, In my opinion, all you have is a drunk guy and all of his lost friends aimlessly going through Europe, and you follow them.
