I ordered this book all the way from Australia. I keep trying to explain to my old man why I did and I really can't come up with a good excuse. The writing is decent, but nothing extraordinary. The story is interesting. I like the characters. It has the whole good versus evil and shades of gray thing. There are no shocks or surprises. I really like the main character, who is actually a female--a believable female--so rare in the fantasy world. And I like the duality of having protagonists also be antagonists. I just like it, okay? And I can order books from Australia if I want to!
