The Barbizon: The Hotel That Set Women Free by Paulina Bren
informative
reflective
medium-paced
3.5
I enjoyed this book because of the content and detail it had, but it wasn't the most compelling nonfiction I've ever read.
The Barbizon truly sounds like it was a remarkable and historic building and I would have loved to see it in it's hayday. Even now my curiosity at the women who still live there and those fancy condos us piqued.
Some sections of the book were most interesting than others but I thought the last few chapters picked up the pace well.
