Schindler's List by Thomas Keneally

challenging dark emotional reflective sad tense slow-paced

3.5

A really informative book on the horrible things that happened during 1939-45, it had a slow start but the more I read, the more invested and surprised I was at the crimes that were committed. Some important characters had interesting characteristics, and I did feel strong emotions towards them.

On the other hand one of the biggest flaws for me was that there were too many people introduced, and I couldn't keep up (this might have been my fault, since I wasn't prepared enough). I would recommend writing down their names and professions as almost all of them we can see throughout the story.

The book was also too slow paced for me. Obviously the process of reading this was hard and there were times when I didn't want to pick it up again, but I'm glad I pulled through.
