I went in really hoping to love this but I honestly found it so dry and boring. I feel like I may have stopped when it was finally getting interesting but I’d read the last 3% to refresh my memory after putting it down for days and I’d barely make it a page farther each time. I feel bad saying this because you can tell the author did a bit of history research but it just could not hook me in. I just think it is not meant to be a book for me, but clearly others enjoy it so give it a shot if it sounds interesting to you.
