Shadow and Sunshine (Classic Reprint) by Eliza Suggs

informative relaxing sad slow-paced

3.0

It’s more religious and less autobiographical than I except. Suggs obviously has great love for god and her family and spends a significant portion of an already small book exploring both. However, to read such the first hand account of a disabled black woman born to slaves —regardless of how brief— is still enlightening and moving.
