Realized 40% of the way through that this was the second in the series l and I had only read the first two chapters of the first book but it's fine. I didn't want to put a hold on the first book and then have to read that one and wait for this one to become available again. Is this going to bother me forever because I read them out of order even though it acts as a stand-alone just fine? Probably. Good exposure therapy for my anxiety or whatever in the hell you want to call it. Okay. Well. The book was good. I like Sands' humor. I liked it and would recommend it as a fun read for people who like historical romance. I hope I get to marry a Highlander one day
