I went into this book blind (honestly thought it was non-fiction until I started) and I’m happy I gave it a chance. It was intense and eerie and foreboding in a way. Terrifying to imagine how close this is to reality after living through COVID. The mixed timelines/storylines were a bit confusing at first but watching it all fall together and mesh had such layers of discovery that I ended up really enjoying it. I was captivated the entire time.
Graphic: Murder and Pandemic/Epidemic
Moderate: Death, Suicide, and Kidnapping
Minor: Adult/minor relationship, Child death, and Blood
