Book 1 was a struggle to get through. This one was just not it? It was all over the place the lore makes little to no sense and honestly the way the male MC treats the female MC is so disgusting. I couldn't do it. I love enemies to lovers it's one of my favorite tropes but this was straight up the worst kind of abuse and toxic. I get reading a book with a toxic relationship and loving it but never letting that shit fly in real life but there were one too many times when lines were crossed in this book. I couldn't do it.
