I dunno with this one, on one hand I enjoyed it cos it was an Irish mafia story, yet on the other it irked me. Our FMC Emma, is the daughter of the southern mafia boss who is in an arranged marriage with the son of the northern boss. This in itself is a starter for what can/does go wrong. She by her own admission was brought up leaning how to defend herself, she makes a home made 💣 within the first part of the book, enters a cage fight and uses a knife…then it all goes astray 🤷🏻‍♀️ She acts like a whiny, tantrum throwing child, where did all that fight go, she clings to him like she is a koala unable to protect itself. This theme kind of follows through the book. He on the other hand, is strong, brash, has a rage like no other and is reckless. However, he does fall for her and in fact a few times pushes her to let her fire out but also protects her.

Overall, it’s an entertaining mafia read not sure I will read the others though.
