Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune
5.0
Thank you to Tor for sending me a copy of Somewhere Beyond the Sea to review.
Wow. Just… wow. You know that dreaded second book syndrome? Yeah that wasn’t here. At all. I cried. I laughed out loud. And when I finished the book, I sat there for about half an hour with a stupid grin on my face.
This book was all I could ever want in a sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea. And more.
At first, I thought “shit… are we not going to see a lot of the kids in this book?” But my thoughts were shortly thwarted. The children are incredible. I love them so much. They are so so dear to me and my heart is just filled with love for them. They are so strong, so self aware and capable of anything.
Getting to see more of Arthur and Linus’ relationship, more of Zoe and Helen’s, the struggles they all have to face, and yes, even Merle, was something I truly enjoyed.
This series will forever hold a special place in my heart and both of them are easily a couple of the best books I have ever read.
If you haven’t read this series yet, i implore you to go to your nearest bookstore and purchase a copy. And I promise, you will not regret it.
