In book 5 of the Blood and Ash series, Armentrout brilliantly continues to create the world of Primals, gods, and mortals. She crafts intricate storylines that keeps the reader on the edge of his or her seats. In this installment of the series, we are treated to Cas’s POV. As Poppy ascends and finishes the final stages of her culling, Cas takes us back on a journey of the major events of book 1 to help Poppy remember herself when she wakes from stasis. We get to know Cas a little more deeply as we get an intimate glimpse of his thoughts and feelings. The characters are witty and lovable which find a home in the readers’ hearts.
