As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh

5.0

There are no words in this world that can be put together in a review that would do justise to this book.
Its so stubbornly strong and heart wrenching, it’s a masterpiece. I smiled and laught and cried and felt the rainbow of emotions on each page.
It made count my blessings and say  ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ‎ a billion times over. This book made me think how despite everything being ok I often find myself sad and then there are people out there who are living their each moment like it’s their last and not in a rosy vibrant way but because legit they may get bombed or killed the very next moment.
This isn’t a book, it’s a love letter, it’s a revolution it’s a reality check for us all.
There is war but there is love too, so so much love, its spilling over, there is fear but the courage that comes along can shake mountains. There is hope and pain and… ahh, just read it please. Please make this tiktok famous if that’s what it will take for everyone to read it.
