The Spy Chronicles: RAW, ISI and the Illusion of Peace by A.S. Dulat, Aditya Sinha, Asad Durrani

a book of 'what-if's' and 'what-could-be's'!
but I will take the retrospection of goverment people over private citizens any day.
The cohesive ideas can only be given by a career officers.
This book is not as surgical as Kashmir Years, but that is mainly due to the topicality.
India-Pak has always been a conundrum for the best of minds - but the ideas put forth here are surely sound and quite doable.
