Recommendations

-I struggled with the different names and the different families so I did watch a couple YouTube videos about who all the characters were. Being as there are 600+ total characters in this work, that was extremely helpful.

-I also watched a YouTube video on Tolstoy himself and his reasoning behind writing the novel. Understanding his intentions and passions helped me get into a better mindset when approaching this book. Especially knowing that Tolstoy was a former soldier and that his depictions of what happened during the Napoleonic wars were much more accurate than someone romanticizing men going off to war.

-Thandiwe Newton did an excellent job narrating the audiobook.
