To describe how I felt reading this book I need to say this; I grew up with this franchise it has a very special place in my heart.
This book made me feel like a kid again. Back when the first game came out and we were all trying to figure out what had happend at Freddy’s, why the animatronics moved on their own and who we were. It all captured that perfectly.
Kinda ironic I am finally reading this book 10 years after the first game came out btw. I know now more than I knew then and it was so fun putting the pieces together and really KNOWING what I was reading.
When the scary stuff came I was genuinely scared, maybe it helped that I was (am) super scared of the games when they came out. But I was genuinely sad when, and I forgot to say but spoilers, the kids that were murdered and put in those suits got their rest. I was happy to see the springlock scene cause fuck William Afton for real. I don’t care that he is called Dave in this book it’s William and fuck him.
This book was perfect to me. It made me feel like a kid again, waiting till school was out so I could watch theory videos of my favorite game franchise on my grandma’s laptop.
I love this franchise for ever and always <3
