Look Again by Lisa Scottoline

The main character was pretty dumb. The whole book. Maybe because I'm not a mother, I just didn't get it... but she made some pretty terrible decisions and had complete tunnel vision about her son. And blew off her job, And she was a pathological liar. But I kept reading, so who is the actual dummy here? The best part? If she had done nothing, none of the bad things in the book would've happened.
The love interest was completely one-dimensional, and the resolution to the story was far-fetched at best. The villians had no motivation for doing what they did... it just didn't make sense.
