I loved this book a little more than the first! This one follows Shayla and Biris. Biris is a spy for the high priest of the witches and warlocks. I loved seeing his side of the story and how he is conflicted with everything he has to do to stay alive. 

Shayla was such a a fun and strong FMC, I loved her right away! The relationship with Biris was insta love and I'm starting to love this trope more because of this series! This book was a bit darker than the first. It was a little steamy as well. I can't wait to read the next in the series!
