I was disappointed in the first book in this series, Lone Wolf. The characters seemed 2 dimensional and the dialogue was cliche. This, the 2nd book, was quite a bit better. The dialogue is predictable, but there's more character development. I still recommend reading the first one so you have some background on the characters.
