“A haunting, heartbreaking, and ultimately inspirational love story” is what I was expecting but maybe my heart wasn’t in it and no clue why this is a 4.5 star book.

Girl…he fell in love with you sight unseen even though your letters were à la ‘Dear Diary’; he adopted your kids to provide them health care and because he cries over them and loves them; says and shows you he loves you; memorized your letters; built you a house; has no baggage or strings attached, and you keep being a tease, rejecting him…yet fantasizing about him?

I did not research the author but respectfully, I’m convinced this book was written by a single mother in search of her fantasy Prince Charming. Big eye roll for this one…
