DNF. I couldn't get into it. I got almost halfway through and didn't want to waste any more of my time. The characters and plot are one dimensional (pun not intended) in that they are forcefully crafted for a single purpose.

I try to make it through a book because I know that sometimes they can redeem themselves, but I just can't seem to get into this one. There are so many books out there that better handle the science/higher power kind of plot flavor, to which my absolute favorite books are His Dark Materials.
