The book is pretty complex. I highly recommend to take notes while reading. Mark characters, their storylines, important events, themes, reoccuring items (for ex. the paperweight). It'll be easier to look back on them (characters often refer to them) and to see how they are conected.
Graphic: Death and Murder
Moderate: Gun violence, Misogyny, Suicide, Violence, Medical content, Religious bigotry, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Cancer, Rape, Death of parent, and Alcohol
