I have so much respect and appreciation for an author who puts in time and research into a fictional book to make it accurate and informative. Lisa Genova obviously has a wealth of knowledge on Alzheimer’s and I feel I learned a lot on a scary topic that I probably wouldn’t have researched otherwise. The story takes you through the progression of Alzheimer’s from the sick person’s viewpoint, and wow… it is a story that will stick with me. I listened to this on audio, and my one criticism is I think the author should have let an experienced audiobook narrator do the narratation. I almost feel unfair saying that, but it was a little monotone. I recommend reading this over listening to it.
