Almost Transparent Blue by Ryū Murakami

3.0

Hmmm, I am not really sure how to describe this book. The cover likens it to A Clockwork Orange, which is about right. I just...I expected more. I am all for debauchery, drugs, and fun, but not at the expense of the characters. I would have enjoyed this more if the characters were more developed, or if more time were spent on their individual stories. Instead, this felt like reading the script for a porn flick, with just a little bit more plot development than the average flick.
