I was so grateful to get the chance to beta read this book several times throughout its journey, and it is tremendously rewarding to hold it in my hands. I had to read it again now that I could hold it!
I've been a die-hard fan of Emily Grace's poetry ever since she first showed me it. Her work is honest, earnest and raw but not at all unpolished. And here, in her third collection, she is at the top of her game. Her poetry is the best it has ever been -- her craft is tighter than ever, her emotions are the most intense they've been, and her power to rip at my heart has never been this strong. I Wonder is a visceral, meaty read, with 200 poems ranging as short as two lines to as long as two pages. There is rhyme, there is alliteration, there is free verse, there is prose poetry. Each of these feels as urgent and accessible as the thoughts in my own mind, and the whole work exudes passion and pathos. I am head over heels for Emily Grace's poetry, and you should be too.
