Paper Money by Ken Follett

3.0

This is a short, early novel of Follett's. It follows a whole cast of characters belonging to distinct groups: the journalists, the gangsters, the high finance and brokers. The story is told over the course of a working day, which gives the book a fast pace. The plot is interwoven and intricate.

The characters were too many for such a short book, and I had a clear picture of almost none of them. The plot is promising, but never seems to build to a climax. It is, like all Folletts books, immensely readable and.
