Wow. I knew everybody was talking about this book, but it was really great! The premise is familiar--kids plucked out to fight to the death in an arena--but Collins weaves a strong emotional story through the whole thing that really keeps it together. I was definitely worried about how it would all turn out and the emotional moments all worked for me. I'm almost afraid to read the rest of the trilogy feeling how much danger the characters are still believably in.
