Under Loch and Key by Lana Ferguson was so freaking excellent that it made me want to abandon my life and move to Scotland to search for non-existing family members. The book follows Key as she attempts a family reunion following the death of her father with family that only partially want her. She meets Lachlan when she is trying to spread her dad's ashes in the loch, he warns her away from the loch and is honestly a bit of a jerk, which intrigued me lol. She quickly realizes that the man is the Loch Ness Monster but doesn't let that deter her from hooking up with him, good for her. Key realizes this is a curse and she wants to help Lachlan break it.
As someone who has never done drugs I confidently say that this book is what I believe being on drugs is like. I could not put it down. I had a fantastic time reading it. I wish there was more. So yeah, drugs you know? Anyway, the book was just the right level of spicy for me, but it might be too much for some and not enough for others. I thought that the little mystery was cute. I figured out some of it but thought that it was really well put together. This is my first Lana Ferguson book but it will definitely not be my last. I highly recommend it!
