Lord of Gold and Glory by Lisette Marshall

4.0

I didn’t like this one as much as the first one. Probably more 3.5 stars but I rounded up because I liked the ending. There was a lot of melodrama in the beginning with Creon being the absolute worst, moodiest little emo boy ever. I stuck it out because I care and luckily he gets back to himself eventually. Emelin is a complicated one because while I appreciate her qualities I also sometimes want to slap her for being selfish. This book was a little more drawn out and boring in the middle. I’m hesitating about the 3rd book because I don’t want to dislike the characters and I’ve heard they kinda go downhill and repeat some of their issues. We will see.
