Before i start this review a HUGE thank you to the author for sending an ARC my way. Tessonja doesn't miss. I was worried (as I am with pretty much all sequels) and I had absolutely no reason to be. Monty and Daphne are PERFECTION.
I was SUPER interested in Daphne following the first book. She was so stand off-ish and seemed to have so much going on. This book fills out her story so beautifully. Shes been through some hard times that weighed heavily on her and this book is her coming into herself and being confident with exactly who she is. Monty also comes with a variety of secrets some he's bound to never speak. His past is difficult and he pushes everyone away to protect himself.
This book was so beautifully written, exactly as book one was. This could be read as a standalone, but why miss out on the first story and the introduction to who Monty and Daphne are?
