This was a fun book to revisit. It was one that sparked my love for reading in childhood, and it retained that magic for me even as an adult. While the story and characters are not the most complex I’ve ever read, the roots of the story in folklore and lore are quite interesting and enjoyable. Is my rating influenced by nostalgia? Most likely yes. But I will not be changing it.
