The Bachelorette Party by Sandra Block

4.0

Ok this was a fun twisty ride that I read in a day!! Because I couldn’t put it down!!

Alex is as an intern for Crimeline in NYC she is determined to find a story that will help her move up in the company/her career. She’s chosen her true crime obsession, a deep dive into the murder that happened 10 years ago. Eric Myers was found guilty and is currently serving his sentence in prison for the gruesome 666 murder. Alex’s idea for the story is to dig deeper and determine if there is any possibility of Eric being innocent. In present day and it’s December, Alex’s best friends are surprising her with renting the actual cabin where the murder took place, It’s in the Catskill mountains the serial killer stabbed his victim and then wrote 666 on the walls in her blood! This is for her bachelorette party. What starts as fun-spooky night soon turns into a nightmare. When Alex wakes up to a bloody cabin and her friends missing, no idea what happened, Alex worries the decade-old murder has come back to haunt them and she is the one to blame. Her recent prison interview with the 666 Killer seems to have stirred up past demons, throwing her friends into danger. The prisoner has always maintained his innocence, claiming the “real killer” was still out there.
Honestly don’t see that ending coming, I was glued to the story I couldn’t put it down!!
