Dangerous Games by Keri Arthur

I was pleasantly surprised with the plot of this book. I absolutely love Gautier and I'm glad he had a part in this one, though I would have liked to see more of him. The demon summoning and god of darkness elements of the plot were interesting, the Riley's emotional vampire lover was entertaining. I really enjoy this series. Something about it just gets to me. So far I'm enjoying it more than Kim Harrison, Patricia Briggs, Charlaine Harris, Karen Chance, and all of the other popular ones out there. Riley is a strong character that has her weaknesses and will admit to them upfront. I have to say that some of her convictions get a bit irritating when repeated over and over again, and she does admit to being hypocritical and times. The only downfall to this book was that there wasn't much of a plot cliffhanger. The people in charge of the labs are dead, some other people are dead (won't mention who due to spoilers), what is left other than relationship drama between Kellen, Riley, and Quinn? I really really hope it doesn't come down to that. I love the action and the paranormal elements at play here, and I would hate to lose them. At the moment though I'm happy to have read this and can't wait for the next one.
