Atone : make amends or reparation

Keep the title and meaning of the word in your mind while reading Cassandra’s continuation of my new favorite MC dynasty.

It’s not a smooth ride for David in life, he has a darkness to fight and sins to atone for. I love his darkness, his smirk. The relationships we get to see in Atone are far and beyond what we saw even in Lethal. The strands of brotherhood are tested to their limits and you get to see true character development through these trials.

Meeting someone like Charlie is a bright spot in David’s life. One that won’t burn out because Cassandra has created a heroine that is going to get what she wants, at ANY cost! Her true feelings and fighting for those take precedence over everything.

I found it real and perfect and dark. I love that David is Disciples born and bred and to his roots he will stay true.

The side plots and appearances from other Cass characters is especially fun and refreshing. Perfectly placed moments of laugh out loud craziness provided by the Disciples gang is just the perfect balance to the deeper story.

My two faves?! Pool time with the Disciple ladies and a DIVE BAR outing!!!!! I love a good dive bar!

Once a Disciple. Always a Disciple.
