for Christie fans, this is a fun little collection of short stories that I read for February/Valentine's Day.

these aren't Christie's *best* stories; but I appreciate that this collection showcases all of Christie's major detectives (Poirot, Miss Marple, Tommy and Tuppence, Parker Pyne, Mr. Quin), with a couple of stand-alones, and even an encore story from Christie's memoir about two early courtships.

stories include:

- King of Clubs (Poirot)
- Face of Helen (Quin)
- Death on the Nile (Pyne)
- Death by Drowning (Marple)
- Double Clue (Poirot)

featuring the only woman Hercule Poirot is canonically attracted to, the notorious Countess Vera Rossakoff.

- Finessing the King (T&T)
- Fruitful Sunday (stand-alone)
- Wasps' Nest (Poirot)
- Case of the Caretaker (Marple)
- Man in the Mist (T&T)
- The Rich Woman (Pyne)
- Magnolia Blossom (stand-alone)
- The Love Detectives (Quin)
- Affairs of the Heart (memoir)

I really appreciate that Mr. Quin and Satterthwaite made their way in here. I read them from a queer lens, and it adds a special little something to this collection.
