Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict by Laurie Viera Rigler
2.0
Started this book at a rapid pace and got sucked in quickly. Then, by the time I reached the half-way mark it was tedious. The premise - 21st C los angeles woman awakes to find herself in the body of a woman living in Regency era England (pride and Prejudice has just been published). She slowly learns her way around, aided by all the Jane Austen she has read in her 21st century persona. She slowly learns the history of her body (Jane Mansfield) and pieces together what happened to her, while fending off a courtship. From here it kind of fell apart and in the end it was all a dream...but not the way I expected it to be. Hunh?
In the end I skipped 2-3 chapters and skimmed the last couple in order to have some completion and was completely blindsided. Left me scratching my head.
