Update 6/10/22

I revisited this book as part of my Bordelli Series re-read and it still stands up to my original thoughts, my favourite of the series. I just find it perfect, the setting being Christmas and festive. There are lots of stories and reflections but they add to the characters. You also get two cases involving the Inspector and Piras. The ending and resolutions are satisfying and the right thing to do too.

I'm looking forward to revisiting the rest of the series. I'm sure it will be as enjoyable as it was the first time. I only wish I could be invited to one of those amazing dinners!

My favourite book of the Inspector Bordelli series so far, a fair bit longer than the previous two and much more meat to it. Two parallel stories with Bordelli and Piras.

I have to say for me now, Inspector Bordelli is now surpassing my other favourite Italian detective in Comissario Soneri.

I am looking forward to the next installment, which I have locked and loaded ready to go tomorrow.
