Saga, Vol. 2 by Brian K. Vaughan

5.0

I can't get over how beautiful these books are. Fiona Staples should be listed as a second author. Without her, it's just clever dialog. With her, though, it's visually engaging and interesting and often totally bizarre (see also: baby harp seal leading walking, saddled walrus/hippo). Every frame is colored beautifully and the characters shine through their appearance as well as their snappy one-liners.

And Alana. Alana is my everything. She's Kate Bishop with wings and a better haircut. (I can't wait to find out what happened to her wings, anyway.)

Highly recommended to anyone who wants to try an adult graphic novel with all the fun of a comic book.
