So Good by Nicola Rendell
4.0

4 Good CROWNS
I always enjoy a Nicola Rendell book. They are heavy on the steam, filled with fun heroines and dominate alpha heroes, and great romances. So Good, while having a lighter and easy going tone, still has all of these qualities.
Max is the alpha hero readers have come to expect from this writer, dominate in the bedroom, super protective, and romantic with his lady. Max is all of this and more. His love of and devotion to Rosie is the stuff of dreams. Readers will love the way he puts her first and tries to make her dreams come true. Plus, seeing this man with cupcakes is just about as cute as seeing any romance hero with a baby.
Rosie has a dreamer quality to her character. Her antics with the cat are hilarious, and her devotion to her friendship with Max is great. Readers will find her hesitancy to be frustrating, yet understandable. Ultimately, thought, she doesn't what is needed.
The plot of So Good is very light and fun, driven by the friends to lovers trope story line. Nicola Rendell adds her flair with the steamy and dominate scenes between the main characters. Adding to the light feel of the novel is a uncomplicated conflict that is resolved easily. The ending is great, and the nod to the beginning of the novel is perfect.
So Good is a deviation from the expected romance of this author. Even with the the variation, readers still get a romance that will have them entertained from page one.
