A Death at Rosings: A Pride & Prejudice Variation by Renata McMann, Summer Hanford

3.0

While the concept is a bit far-fetched for me (that Anne would enlist Elizabeth to help manage Rosings, particularly when they've rarely spoken prior), the overall execution and story was enjoyable. I liked that Elizabeth and Darcy didn't immediately resolve their differences just by being in close proximity, even though it was obvious they were both trying. I liked that Bingley got to show some initiative. The resolution of the Wickham storyline was perhaps a bit too neat, but it did go rather differently from the original, and it was nice to see a true variation there.

Really 3.5 stars.
