The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
5.0
the only book from BookTok that is definitely worth the hype!!! and it’s not one of those fetishizing mlm books either.
it’s raw love. it’s painful secrecy. it’s tragic longing. yet, still so beautiful. it’s everything you could imagine coming from a greek story, but repackaged into something GREATER. nobody is doing it like miss miller. i’ll tell you what, no other book has had me laid out at 3am sobbing and clutching my chest in PAIN
Achilles’ grief is palpable!!! so is Patroclus’ desperation. and ESPECIALLY their love. don’t even get me started on Achilles’ mother discussing Patroclus’ death. oh my god i could sob for years.
definitely worth the read, definitely worth every star, definitely worth a good review.
