10 Steps to Earning Awesome Grades by Thomas Frank, Thomas Frank
5.0
UPDATE 1/30/2021: Revisiting in my Senior Year, four years after my first freshman read (Took me less than a few hours instead of 2 weeks this time). And honestly I’m glad I followed the advice of this book before starting college. Thomas Frank, David Allen, and Cal Newport were some of my core productivity influences in my late high school and college career, and now, with a part-time internship and two mini-part time jobs and school (don’t ask), I couldn’t be more thankful for having read this 2x. Even though it’s been an uphill battle trying to implement all his techniques and still quell my procrastination habit but, this is a lifesaver book for anyone who just needs some order in their school life.
This ebook only scratches the surface, but in 83 pages it manages to cover a LOT.
I would recommend reading How to Win at College by Cal Newport for a more in depth guide on how to implement some of the tips and tricks that Frank mentions. I would also recommend the links he provides to his Youtube Channel, Thomas Frank, and his blog, CollegeInfoGeek. They’re more valuable than any resource I’ve ever come across.
Very humorous, but straight-to-the-point and informative for prospective college students.
