We see the aftermath of the first book start to play out. Lots of war and politics and treachery. Tisaanah and Max are trying their best to succeed in their mission so they can save their people. We got a 3rd POV from Aefe and her story is an interesting addition which adds some depth to the worldbuilding. A little slower than the last but this book puts alot of the building blocks in place for an epic conclusion.
