Okay the start of this reeled me in for sure. Like it was twisty and really laid the path for a great thriller just more on the dark side. Then, mid way in this book, it just gets really dark and gave gory details of some horrific sexual abuse as well as details about torture. The second half this was predictable but the dark gory details ramped up and was repeated, making it a difficult read for me. I did really enjoy the first half and the characters were enjoyable to read about.

This man Paul was insane like the amount of control he had on this family and i just knew Huckleberry and Mayhew were in on this craziness. Like they had some crazy power. Thennnn Paul doing these crazy murders???? But like once you knew it was all him it got dull, wish he had accomplice or like something to keep the twist going.
