I haven't sobbed while reading a book in a long, long time. This book broke my heart. It is amazing. I want every middle schooler to read it. I want every parent to read it. I want every teacher to read it. I want every person I know to read it. And if it does not cause heaving sobs even in a crowded gym or on an airplane, I am not sure I can remain friends with you. The author has written the next big book to come out of children's lit, and I am so proud to say I read it early.
